On a complete whim in December 2019, and with zero experience running events, we decided to host a market in our local library in Crystal Palace. Like the crescendo of a cheesy 90s film, hundreds of people showed up and there was an absolutely electric energy in the air. It felt like magic! Like we’d finally found what we were always supposed to be doing.

That day changed our lives forever. We’ve continued running events ever since, leaving behind our careers at big fashion brands like ASOS and H&M to make this our full time job instead. And we absolutely bloody love it!

The market has become a beacon for shopping small, and a place for positivity, community, and connection. We’ve hosted more than 80 markets at London’s most iconic landmarks including Selfridges, Battersea Power Station, The Hoxton Hotel, Dulwich Picture Gallery and The Shard, we’ve worked with thousands of the most incredible small businesses, been on the news, on the front page of a newspaper, and even won an award. It’s been a wild few years.

And we’re not stopping now! We’re on a mission to infuse this energy into the flailing world of retail and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
