Saturday 28th September: All the brands taking part in our Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom market

We love hosting markets at a varied array of venues and that’s why we’re so excited to be back on home turf at Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom! Nestled in the heart of our local community in South East London, the Taproom is a really cool space that combines an outdoor yard with a brewery, bar and an indoor event space which is where we’ll be hosting our market. It’s not our most glamorous venue but is special in the hearts of locals for so many reasons and we’re sooo proud to be popping up there again.

As well as our indoor market which will feature 30 different small brands from around the UK each day, you'll be able to order pints, eat delicious street food and find a table to sit down with friends and family to enjoy the day, all in one place. The venue has everything you’ll want all in one place; bevvies from Gipsy Hill Brewery, street food from KERB and of course our market. The perfect way to spend your weekend with friends and pups. Here are the amazing brands that will be trading with us on Saturday 28th September, and as always we’ll have a completely different line-up of traders for Sunday 29th September which you can find here.

This will be our final event at the Taproom this year, so if it’s up your street we’d love to see you at this one!

Live Activation

NEW! The Link and Bond Company: Brand new to the market! We are sooo excited that for the first time ever we will have permanent bracelets at our next market! Business founder Alicia is certified in micro welded jewellery, and will be bringing her equipment with her to offer you the opportunity to have a permanent bracelet or anklet fitted. With a choice of chains in both silver and gold, some even have pretty design details like little hearts that are soo cute. These are measured to fit you exactly, then welded on, becoming claspless. The ultimate adult friendship bracelet! I’ve just text my best friend to see if she’ll come down and get a matching one with me.

Gina Flynn Design: Custom merch and portraits for the pet obsessed! As someone who is totally obsessed with their dog, I am so chuffed to book a brand dedicated to celebrating our beloved furry friends, and am absolutely thrilled to welcome artist Gina Flynn to our line-up! Order a personalised pet portrait from Gina at our next market. The talented artist will complete the detailed work at home and post it back to you. Choose to have your portrait painted on to a number of different items, from accessories to clothing! Prices start from £40 for a keyring, and there’s also gift vouchers and gift box set options in case you just can’t choose. I had a keyring painted of my Frenchie Lenny and it was the perfect gift for my boyfriend and I was SO pleased and impressed with the quality, I can’t recommend these enough.

Fashion

NEW! Esme Shirts: Brand new to the market! As seen in British Vogue, these 70s inspired shirts are absolutely ICONIC and we are soooooo proud and chuffed to have them at our market for the very first time. Featuring a rather gorgeous pointed colour, jumbo balloon sleeves and made in either a beautifully bold block colour, or from a patchwork of all, these are designed in London by founder Esme and made in Portugal, available in 3 sizes.

Scrapping ‘Ell: Every Scrapping ‘Ell beauty is cleverly handmade in Ellie’s South London studio using exclusively existing and vintage materials. Her designs are charming, romantic - full of life, colour, pattern and character. Every single piece is completely one-of-a-kind and we are soo chuffed to have them at the market! Find something gorgeous, special and most importantly, sustainable, for all the fun occasions you’ve got planned for this autumn. Her quilted gilets were a best-seller at our last market and she’s restocked them especially for us.

The Daydreamer: Bella is so well known in the small biz world for her beautiful size inclusive fashion so we’re really proud to welcome her back to our market. Pieces are all handmade by Bella in South London, and her regular size range spans all the way from 3XS - 4XL! These clothes are made to fit your body, not the other way around - how refreshing. Thrillingly she’ll have a brand new blue Mojito dress for the first time! Plus a linen version of the bestselling Garden dress and she might even surprise us with 1 or 2 completely new designs too!

Worn to Threads: Worn To Threads has become well known for the absolutely beautiful patterned vintage fabrics founder and maker Izzy crafts her upcycled pieces from. The most stunning little waistcoat made from 1986 Morris & Co fabric that used to be a pair of curtains, a wool coat expertly reworked from an artistically patterned blanket, a padded jacket cut from a patchwork quilt with the most exceptionally clever pattern placement I’ve ever seen and trimmed with gingham. Every single one is a feast for the eyes, a celebration of the most special textiles and craftsmanship, and of course totally one-of-a-kind. These are the sort of things that make me feel so excited about the future of fashion! Sustainable and original. Unbeatable. Find them at our next market!

Sister Ellen: We just about died and went to heaven when Sister Ellen dropped in to our inbox wanting a spot at our market! These one of a kind upcycled pieces are playful, delightful, inspiring and full of happy JOY that will make you want to wear them again and again. Founder Lydia spent many happy hours with her mum and Nana Mud uncovering treasures at charity shops and markets, and it's this lifelong passion which inspires each of her designs today. Gingham, bows, oversized collars and more, we know you're going to fall in love with these pieces just like we have!

Handbags & Accessories

Studio Pepita: Like a magpie with shiny special things, show me a table of amazing Studio Pepita accessories and I absolutely WILL touch, pick up and try on as many of them as I can! These pieces are all designed and handmade by wonderful Nona, using eco-resin, one-of-a-kind vintage haberdashery and rainbow thread offcuts that make them totally special and unique. Find hairclips, earrings and accessories featuring cute ric-rac and colourful trims that are the perfect little market day pick-me-up.

Rhe Amore: Handcrafting colourful leather goods since 2018 from her small studio all the way in the Isle of Wight! Rhea Amore founder Rheanna set up her brand quite by accident after friends and family fell in love with a bag she made for her mum, and wanted to order one for themselves. All Rhe Amore products are designed & handmade using leather she sources directly from tanneries in Italy, and a British supplier for speciality hides. All products are made with the same material and are sewn with the same techniques used by big luxury brands but don’t come with the high designer price point. I absolutely love the tasseled keyrings, they’d make the perfect bag charms!

Rosie Brain Embroidery: If you’ve looked longingly at Rosie Brain’s bestselling personalised decorations but have yet to treat yourself, then now’s the time! The talented artist will be joining us at our next market with location designs for our local areas of Crystal Palace, Gipsy Hill and South London! So if you’re a girly who loves to rep where she lives (we all know South London is the best) then I highly recommend treating yourself. These are absolutely beautiful, and carefully emrbodiered beore Rosie cleverly cuts each design out and sews it together to form the beautiful decoration. Attach to a keyring for the perfect bag charm, hang around your home or your Christmas tree.

Knotts Studio: These handmade crochet scrunchies are soo fun and full of life! The perfect extra-large hair accessory to finish your every-day topknot or gift to your best friend. Each one is handmade in London by Bella, and especially for the market, you’ll be able to design your own scrunchie and have it made especially for you! Choose from a selection of colours and pre-order your piece, which will then be made and posted out to you. I’m obsessed.

Jewellery

NEW! Kitschen Jewellery: Brand new to the market! This is handmade jewellery inspired by food, but unlike anything you’ve seen before. Featuring fried egg studs, the mushroom chain necklace, baked beans and bacon rings, I absolutely adore how maker and designer Kitty has taken an iconic English breakfast and made pieces that are so gorgeous inspired by it! Whilst being fun and playful, most importantly these designs are actually wearable. Discover the handmade collection at our next market. Tasty!

Sharlala Jewellery: Firm favourite Sharlala Jewellery is back for our next market and we know you’re going to be seriously excited about the pieces she’s bringing with her! Talented Sharla first started learning to make jewellery over 15 years ago, finally starting her brand in 2016. Over the years Sharla has steadily built a loyal and loving customer base of adoring wearers who love her not just because her designs are gorg but cause she’s kind, knowledgeable and such an expert, you can’t help but become a customer for life. All Sharla’s stones are ethically sourced, and pieces are made using recycled silver and gold too, so you can feel extra good about your shiny new purchase.

Skincare & Beauty

Blackmarket: I was asked recently what I think the most exciting offering we have at the market is, and without hesitation I answered that it’s the brands who are focused on solving the problem of plastic waste that I feel so inspired by. Blackmarket is a refillable liquid hand-wash that removes the need for you to buy single-use plastic packaging completely. Simply purchase the glass vessel and soap refill sticks, and combine the two with tap water, voila! Traditional soap refills from other brands come in large plastic sachets, replacing one piece of singe-use plastic for another. At Blackmarket, the sachet itself is part of the product (like your dishwasher tablet) dissolving in the soap to act as a thickener. So the only waste is the cardboard box which can be easily recycled. As seen in Forbes and Stylist Magazine.

Palm of Feronia: Bestselling brand Palm Of Feronia returns to our market with their crystal charged, natural skincare for the soul. Formulated and blended by hand in South London by founder Soph, each product is rooted in ancient traditions and herbal lore. Everything is vegan and cruelty free, and these products work! For years now I have been a devoted user of Soph’s Moonstone Sleep Spray and Ritual Cleansing Oil and I literally can’t recommend them enough. Discover the range of products if you haven’t already, at our next market!

Heaven’s Touch: If you’ve got dry and kinky curls, or dry skin, then Heaven’s Touch is the small biz you’ve been looking for! After being frustrated with the products on offer and dreading every wash day, the gorgeous Danielle decided to set up her own natural beauty brand to make looking after her curly hair easier and more enjoyable! And of course - to get better results. Her handmade plant-based recipes are designed to nurture both your hair and skin, and are now so popular they sell out, get amazing reviews and have even won awards! Try them, touch them and smell them for yourself at our market.

Ceramics

NEW! We Are Clay: Brand new to the market. If you know me and Daisy, you’ll know how important the symbol of the spiral has become to us. A representation of growth! So of course on discovering the gorgeous work of ceramic artist Suzy Solley we were rather excited! After a decade long career in academia and research, Suzy has recently become a full time potter (amazing!) spending her days discovering her own personal style and learning new techniques through lots of trial and error. Inspired by puzzles, infinity shapes and Celtic designs from her homeland of Scotland, I am SO excited to work with Suzy for the first time. Find her unique and sculptural pieces at our next market! It’s the fruit bowls for me, just gorgeous.

Dantes Ceramics: Brand new to the market. Simple, handmade ceramics. These pieces are unique, imperfect and understated, designed to combine beauty with everyday living. If you favour a clean, timeless and more neutral aesthetic, then these pieces are for you! Everything is handmade by potter Isabelle, and I’ve particularly fallen in love with the cute little flower frog, designed to hold a few little flower stems in water perfectly. As featured in House and Garden, and Country Living Magazines.

Ceramics by Sunny: My heart is alight with Sunny’s gorgeous handmade ceramics, which perfectly combine marbled clay (in all the loveliest neutral shades of brown and cream, my favourite) and pretty frills! She cleverly creates each unique piece by hand on the wheel, producing functional ceramics that elevate your day-to-day rituals; her most popular designs are her spiral cups which I can see so many uses for in your home including everything from your morning matcha to being a chic place for your kitchen sponges, and her mugs which are strikingly beautiful with their swan-like handles. My eye though is firmly on her frilly planters, just wow.

GG Clayworks: Brand new to the market! Maker and potter Grace is so clever with the gorgeous glazes she uses to decorate her ceramics, using different mark making techniques to make pieces that feel so useable but artistic, the sort you’d want to keep out on display! Featuring wide curvy brushstrokes, delicate splatters, and interesting crackle effects, Grace writes on her website, “I want to create items that will witness the lives of the people that own them, eventually becoming heirlooms or hand-me-downs”. Inspired by dunes and tree roots, Grace uses traditional pottery techniques like coiling, slab-building and kurinuki to make organic forms that represent the nature they’re influenced by. Find the collection at our next market.

Art, Prints & Paper Goods

Mahin Hussain: If you love pink as much as we do, I’ve got a feeling you’re going to be drawn to artist Mahin Hussain’s rainbow filled market stall! Hailing from the bright and colourful land of Pakistan, the now London-based Mahin is a print designer and visual artist. Her hand-painted collection of work is inspired by her childhood memories and the iconic cultural imagery of the sub-continent. You can’t help but feel full of love and joy when viewing her work, and it helps that Mahin is just the most lovely person you could hope to meet on market day too, you’ll want to take a little piece of her world home with you. Just divine!

Nat Draws Things: Feast your eyes on these culinary inspired illustrations and paper goods that look delicious enough to eat. Designed in London by artist Natalia, featuring all of the things we love the most like coffee, fancy sardines and pasta! Shop the collection of prints and gorgeous vibrant cards you’ll want to stock up on to send throughout the year, as well as. Plus a new collection of super cute mini artworks too. I am obsessed with the Pickle Lover print! Prices start from just £4.

Tillie Rose Studio: The home of cute, colourful stationery and paper goods. Tillie Rosie Studio was established in 2019, starting as a side hustle while founder Tillie was working other jobs and design internships that she soon found weren't for her. In September 2020, Tillie took her venture full time and it's been her job ever since. Her sole aim with the business is to create beautiful things for people to fill their homes and lives with which we absolutely love. Find the collection at our next market.

Homeware

NEW! Fantastic Plastic Studio: Without a doubt, the brands I’m most excited to work with are those thinking of clever and creative ways to tackle the problem of plastic waste. Enter Plastic Fantastic Studio! Founder and maker Ife cleverly makes household items from 100% recycled plastic waste, giving a new and exciting lease of life to literal rubbish. What started as a University project became a business in 2021, based in both Nigeria and London. So far Ife has repurposed over 1000 plastic bags, turning them in to gorgeous coasters that have a beautiful marbled pattern. And of course, each one is unique. I absolutely love this concept and am so proud and excited to welcome them to our next market!

Kids

Fifi and the Fleas: Fifi and The Fleas creates playful kidswear from preloved and deadstock fabrics with the cutest results! Maker Emilie creates each piece by hand in London, including her best-selling mini quilted jackets, making each piece truly unique, ethical and all the more special. If underwhelming kidswear options on the highstreet don’t do it for you, then come down and experience Emilie’s colourful world of multicoloured knits, patchwork, ginghams and ruffle frills at our next market! For ages 1-6 but with brand new pieces for adults too!

Bakery & Ice Cream

NEW! Miss London Mia: Miss Mia brings you delicious and sumptuous hand made treats inspired by founder and maker Carolina’s Brazilian heritage! Each treat is lovingly created especially for your delight, fresh for the market in London. Carolina is known for her Brigadeiro which is a traditional Brazilian dessert made from chocolate, similar to a truffle. Come down and try them at our next market! Available till sell out.

Almada Bakery: With their homemade Portuguese-inspired treats (including their Great Taste award-winning pastel de natas!) we guarantee that Almada will have something delicious you’ll want to try on market day! They’ll have a huge selection of both sweet and savoury treats on offer, and everything is handmade in South London fresh for market day. Every recipe was developed by husband & wife team Petch & Elsa who just so happened to meet and fall in love at a Street Food Market and are also the most lovely people ever. Don’t miss them. Available till sell out.

Mr Desserts: The love we have for Moyin at Mr Deserts is actually unrivalled because he’s the nicest guy ever who brings THE MOST DELICIOUS, extravagant, chunky and luxurious cupcakes and cookies to our market. What’s not to fall in love with? The Birthday Cake, the Cookies and Cream… I just need you to tell me you’re going to come to the market and try one. Moyin is fanatical about his ingredients and baking process, only using the best of the best to ensure these baked goods are 10/10 every single time and we can confirm he absolutely achieves this. Brand new and exclusive lemon and blueberry cheesecake will be available exclusively at our next market!
