We love hosting markets at a varied array of venues and that’s why we’re so excited to be back on home turf at Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom this summer! Nestled in the heart of our local community in South East London, the Taproom is a really cool space that combines an outdoor yard with a brewery, bar and an indoor event space which is where we’ll be hosting our market! It’s not our most glamorous venue but is special in the hearts of locals for so many reasons and we’re sooo proud to be popping up there again.
As well as our indoor market which will feature 30 different small brands from around the UK each day, you'll be able to order pints, eat delicious street food and find a table to sit down with friends and family to enjoy the day, all in one place. The venue has everything you’ll want all in one place; bevvies from Gipsy Hill Brewery, street food from KERB and of course our market! The perfect way to spend your weekend with friends and pups. Here are the amazing brands that will be trading with us on Sunday 1st September, and as always we’ll have a completely different line-up of traders for Saturday 31st August which you can find here.
Live Activation
Puzzle Design Charm Bar: Build your own charm necklace! We’re so happy to welcome Puzzle Designs back to our next market after their resounding success at our last event. Popping up with a special Make Your Own Charm Necklace market stall, you’ll be able to pick and choose exactly what cute charms you want on your necklace, that perfectly represent you. Brand owner Christina will then create it in front of your eyes ready for you to take home on the day. Chains start from £17 and charms from £5. Expect queues so we’d suggest coming early.
Holly Bright Art Live Portraits: Holly will be taking pre-orders of her bestselling live portraits on the day! These will be completed after the market and sent to you, with discounted postage! Such a gorgeous gift as a memory of a special occasion, or a cute way to fill that blank space on your wall. She’ll also have brand new prints, cards, tote bags and more for you to shop on the day too!

Come market day the first thing I am going to buy is one of fashion designer Erin’s ‘Remember You Are Magic’ t-shirts, but it’s more than just a really cool design and I’m going to tell you why! Erin has always felt deeply connected to the natural world and it’s synchronised patterns and this led her to a playful expiration of using natural materials like moss but also bark and flowers she creates natural dyes from too. This designer is pushing the boundaries when it comes to exploration and creativity, and we are so proud to welcome them to our next market!

The collection features meticulously crafted accessories that are handmade by their women-only team in South Africa. NEW! The Others Studio: Designed and handmade by Loretta all the way in Yorkshire, we’re so pleased to welcome The Others Studio to our next market at Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom! Described by Loretta as “Moments in precious metals, new and old” the collection features both carefully sourced vintage pieces and original handmade pieces, hand carved in the traditional way using wax and cast in either recycled solid silver or gold. What unites the collection is the unique, chunky and personality filled designs Loretta is known for. Shop with us on Sunday 1st September!
Hattusas Bazaar: Inspired by the history of Anatolia and the iconography and art that has deep rooted meaning to the country of Turkey, designer Zeynep Dogun has launched a debut collection of handmade pieces that revive designs and techniques from Anatolia’s lost cultures. Each modern heirloom is full of special symbolism and I especially love the necklaces that feature vividly colourful beads with gold plated medallions. I’d wear them stacked up all summer long. Every item is handmade by artisans in Turkey and especially for the market find new phone strap accessories (me and Daisy got these at a previous market and love them!) that were so popular they sold out!
Zephyr Jewellery: Seeing a maker celebrate traditional crafts in contemporary ways is one of the most exciting parts of running Salad Days Market and the thing we love the most. So when we discovered Zephyr Jewellery we knew they’d be a perfect fit for the market! This is seaglass jewellery but unlike you’ve seen before, because talented craftsperson Natalie designs beautiful pieces that have a gorgeously modern twist. Using chunkier large-link chains, oversized hoops and other cute charms alongside delicate pieces of sea glass Natalie hand-picks from beaches across the country. Toast Studios: If country music and cowgirl boots have got you enthralled and excited recently then we’re absolutely thrilled to introduce you to Toast Studios! This small batch, independent ceramics studio is run by Evie all the way up in Birmingham! So we couldn’t be more chuffed they’ll be travelling all the way to South London to trade with us. Evie who a classically trained arts historian, creates functional pieces with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, self expression and queerness and the most amazing shiny metallic glazes that feel soo special and amazing. I predict the cowgirl boot match strikers are going to be a bestseller!

Chin Chin Prints: Salad Days Market is all about celebrating the very best South London has to offer, which is why we absolutely love to work with our talented SL neighbour Chin Chin Prints. Illustrator and graphic designer Emily spent many years designing for globally renowned brands, before turning her talent into a full time biz. Her iconic prints feature some of our most beloved local locations, and we need them all! Shop the collection including my favourite, the super chic vinyl stickers! Emily will have new things for us this market day too!

NEW! Cherry Flips: Brand new to the market! Cherry Flips offers a contemporary twist on homeware classics. In the spirit of buying less, buying better and using what you adore everyday, they handmake thoughtfully created products that last beyond seasonal trends, featuring signature bold designs that feel just the right amount of kitchy and vintage inspired. All of the designs are hand drawn by founders Molly and Miranda and are made by them in the UK, straight from their London studio to your home. Discover the collection at our market inside Battersea where founder Danielle will also be bringing the new range of Tea inspired candles and diffusers especially for us. Clean, herbaclious and spa-esque, these babies are sure to be a hit! Bringing a hotel-like vibe to your home. These vegan, luxury products are all handmade in London by Danielle.

Cranston Pickles: Home to the very best homemade pickles, chutneys and pickled eggs maker Fiona will be bringing a range of delicious pickly goods, all made by her using fresh herbs and spices and inspired by her grandparents Rowland and Sylvia who always made their own preserves back in the day! The tradition continues, and we are absolutely thrilled to tell you that Fiona’s bestselling handmade pickled eggs return to our next market! (I devoured a whole jar of the curried flavour in 3 days, they are so excellent on salads, next to any meat and potatoes, as a snack) alongside other delicious condiments and scotch eggs too. Minimal ingredients, no weird ultra processed things and all expertly crafted (and of course, delicious) Do not miss these!

NEW! Yanoula’s: Brand new to the market! All of Joanna’s Cypriot inspired goods are handmade by her in South London, so when you treat yourself at our next market you know they’re as fresh as can possibly be! Inspired by classic village recipes from her namesake Yiayia Yanoula, expect to find different flavoured pitta like sweet tahini, olive and halloumi or spinach and feta alongside other deli items like olive oil. These pitta are more like a delicious bready-muffin than the flatbread you might think of, and are always a sellout. Don’t miss them at our next market!
Marcelo’s Ice Cream: Sunny weekend in London + eating artisan icecream = the perfect combo. Popping up all weekend with us is the one and only Marcelos’s Ice cream. Makers James and Lindsay will be slinging scoops of their absolutely delicious, vegan, and locally made ice cream all day long. This luxury artisan icecream is made down the road in South London using an in-house oat milk and only the finest most fresh seasonal ingredients.
