Come to our small business Sample Sale at Gipsy Hill Brewery this February
Our first event of 2025 is our famous Small Business Sample Sale and we are absolutely buzzing about it!
Over this four day event, you'll find amazing discounts, bargains, and one-of-a-kind samples available from a real variety of incredible small businesses. We're taking over Gipsy Hill Brewery's iconic South London taproom on two weekends in a row: both Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd February, and Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd February for four days of discount shopping, drinking, eating and of course... an incredible market full of amazing and special finds at discounted prices.
On each day you’ll find a different line-up of 30 small businesses, and each brand will be selling a variety of gorgeous handmade and vintage items all with a discount, spanning art, jewellery, ceramics, fashion, bags, scrunchies and more.
Taking on feedback from the past, we’ve asked traders to make sure every single item has a discount of some kind, and discounts will vary from stall to stall anywhere from 10% off - 60% off. Please note discounts and stock are at the discretion of each trader. This will span from almost-perfect seconds, samples of products that didn’t end up going into production and so are completely unique, plus past season stock, and also some newness.
As well as an indoor market with over 30 different small brands from around the UK each day, you'll be able to order pints and find a table to sit down with friends and family to enjoy the day. Both the market and the taproom itself are inside to keep you toasty. The venue and market are both dog friendly although as we’re expecting it to be busy pups may prefer to hang outside.

Which brands will be taking part?
We’ll have 30 different small brands taking part each day, so that’s 120 different brands over all four dates. Find the link to the full traders list for Saturday 1st February here, for Sunday 2nd February here, for Saturday 22nd February here, and Sunday 23rd February here.
What discounts will products have?
Discounts are at each brand’s discretion. We’ve asked that every product is discounted in some way. Discounts will span anything from 10% - 70% off the RRP price.
How to apply to take part:
We are now fully booked for this event. We’d recommend signing up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about future events.
How to attend:
The Sample Sale is free to enter, and you don’t need a ticket! Just show up on the day. We expect queues so you might like to come early if you’re looking for something specific. The nearest station is Gipsy Hill. You can also get there via bus from Brixton or Crystal Palace.
Is the market inside?
Yes, the market is inside. The Taproom is also inside where there is some seating, a bar, and bathrooms. If we have to implement a queue you will likely need to queue outside the venue so you may like to bring an umbrella.
Will the event be busy?
We are expecting the market to be busy and bustling. If you prefer a quieter browse this may not be the market for you, or you may like to come towards the end of the day when it’s less busy. If you are a wheelchair user and need help or more info about accessing the event please do get in touch so we can make sure you are comfortable and accommodated.
Is the venue dog friendly? Is it buggy friendly?
Dogs are allowed at the venue, but as we’re expecting it to be busy it depends how much they enjoy being in a busy environment and we ask that dogs are kept on a short lead at all times to be respectful of traders and other customers. The Taproom does allow children but again, as it’s a working taproom that’s busy and bustling it may not be the best one for kids. We’d suggest that buggies stay outside of the market.

There is indoor and outdoor seating at the venue, and you’ll be able to get cold drinks from the Brewery.
There will be different brands on every single day, so you can come along to each one and find totally different things.
There will be food and drinks available at the market; these will either include allergens or be prepared in an environment alongside allergens, so if you have a specific allergy please speak to the food or drink provider before you consume anything. Similarly if you have a specific allergy please speak to the stallholder before you try or buy any product.
