Sunday 21st April: All the brands taking part in our Dulwich Picture Gallery Market

Want a first look at all the brands taking part in the first day of our market at Dulwich Picture Gallery on Sunday 21st April? Well of course you do! Weโ€™ve put together the full list below, so you can see exactly who youโ€™ll be able to shop with on the day. As youโ€™ll see from the list below, we have 20 incredible brands there with a focus on handmade products, as always. Weโ€™ll be covering lots of different product areas from original art to handmade jewellery. And remember, thereโ€™s different brands on each day of the market. Find a full list of the 20 different brands trading on Saturday 20th April on a separate blog post here.

Jewellery

Lima Lima Jewellery: Inspired by everything from mystical symbolism to architecture, sculpture and art, founder Rhiannon hand crafts each beautiful piece of jewellery from recycled materials all the way away in South Wales (so weโ€™re honoured sheโ€™s travelling all the way to trade with us). The word โ€œlimaโ€ translates to mean โ€œfile, polish, revisionโ€ in Latin, a sentiment which Rhiannon feels perfectly encapsulates the intricate design process that sits at the heart of everything she makes.

Frances Kirk: Market favourite, fellow South London gal, all round talented and beautiful little bean, the one and only Annie will be at our market with the most gorgeous selection of beautiful things. Handmade by Annie in London, each carefully considered jewel speaks of her life experiences: empowering, feminine, oceanic, and is the result of years of research and thought, featuring her iconically organic textures that make each piece something original and special. Truly magical.

Vintage

Frea Vintage: Immerse yourself in Frea Vintageโ€™s charming world of sustainable fashion and accessories. From carefully sourced vintage watches that look identical to the ones style icon Princess Di was known to wear, to handbags and clothes handmade using pretty preloved fabrics, maker and curator Muge absolutely nails the cottagecore aesthetic and we can't get enough of it. The nature of curating and working with vintage means everything is usually one of a kind, and Muge has been working hard to bring you a selection of unique things to shop.

Maison Spoon: The perfect wedding, new baby or home gift, we are so pleased to welcome Maison Spoon and their lovely vintage preloved cutlery back to our market, where you can enjoy complimentary personalised engraving on any piece you buy! First pick your chosen vintage spoon, cake slice or knife (prices start from just ยฃ20) and then add whatever personalisation you want! Popular choices include a special date, a name, or a funny phrase; the choice is endless which means you can make one relevant for so many different occasions. Iโ€™ve known friends to gift them for Christenings, birthdays and even to announce their pregnancy! Lucie can personalise your chosen piece right in front of you, for you to take home on the same day. Such an excellent service, and a really unique keepsake gift.

Homeware & Candles

NEW! Dasein: Inspired by German philosophy, where the essence of Dasein is encapsulated by the act of 'being present'. Dasein was born during the early days of lockdown, from gifting candles to friends and family, evolving into a collection of handmade homeware goodies including candles and cushions, designed for your 'days in.' Each piece is a manifestation of the values that make your moments truly special! Founder Emily takes pride in creating in small batches, and offering made-to-order pieces, minimising their ecological footprint.

NEW! Carolyne Ekong: We think textile maker Carolyne was so talented and was doing something totally original and interesting! So we are absolutely thrilled to welcome her to our next market. Stitching together beautiful woolen fabrics using traditional darning and Japanese Boro and Sashiko inspired embroidery to make the most special and unusual sculpted cushions and scarves. We always love to bring you something totally different at Salad Days market and this is it! I hope youโ€™ll love Carolyneโ€™s work as much as we do.

NEW! Studio Limbo: Limbo was first created during a period of โ€œlimboโ€ in lockdown when founder Winnie was furloughed and discovered how therapeutic candle making could ease her anxiety during a stressful time. Returning to work she really missed making candles and so she quit to run her small business full time, how inspiring! Their bestselling product is the refillable jesmonite candle and all candles are made using soy wax with only the best quality fragrance or essential oils all hand-blended by Winnie herself, who prides herself on her cute and playful packaging and labels.

Wintour: Donโ€™t lose what you love! Wintour specialise in creating beautiful jewellery boxes that keep your special pieces safe whether at home or whilst travelling. I recently treated myself to the Mini Moritz and itโ€™s been the most useful and hardworking thing in my handbag. Perfect to safely store my engagement ring while Iโ€™m lifting weights at the gym and carefully house my hoops when I take them out on the tube before I get home. This would be a lovely gift for anyone in your life whoโ€™s difficult to buy for but loves to wear jewellery. Their larger size would be excellent to keep at home, too.

Rosie Brain Embroidery: If youโ€™ve looked longingly at Rosieโ€™s bestselling personalised decorations but have yet to treat yourself, then nowโ€™s the time! The talented artist will be joining us at our next market ready to take your personalised pre-orders. And if thatโ€™s not your jam perhaps one of her gorgeously designed patches is. More than ever before, I believe weโ€™re all thinking about how we can increase the life span of our clothes, and though mending is by no means a new idea, itโ€™s something lovely Rosie has got me thinking about as an opportunity to sport on of her latest embroidered designs to cover any hole or stain. So clever and so cute.

Beauty & Skincare

NEW! Horosoaps: The idea is simple but rather interesting. A bar of soap that knows you, that can not only soothe but embrace your specific astrological hangups! Three bottles of wine deep, friends Rebecca and Ian were waxing lyrical about how interesting it is that so many of us have personal traits that are weirdly accurate according to our star sign (yes, we are in fact a pair of sensitive, loving and emotional worrier Cancereans!) And so Horosoaps was born. Vegan, cruelty free and made in the UK, there are 12 different blends each representing a different astrological sign, featuring specific ingredients formulated to help soothe and celebrate the person at the heart of it all. Cancerโ€™s blend includes anxiety-reducing jasmine and ylang ylang so Iโ€™ll definitely need to take one of those home on market day.

Ceramics

Bisby Bisques: I just absolutely love these beautiful ceramic pieces. We first worked with Bisby Bisques a few years ago so weโ€™re absolutely chuffed to welcome gorgeous maker Helena back again! Her handmade ceramics are beautifully functional and deceptively simple, but these are extremely well made pieces youโ€™ll find a joy to use. Featuring delicate little frills and other delightfully elegant design details like wavy handles or contrast coloured trims. Each thrown on the wheel to achieve a refined form and finish, these tableware pieces will become staples in your home.

705xClay: You know weโ€™re always hot on the pursuit to bring you something wonderful at the market you wonโ€™t have seen before! Ceramic artist Naoko runs her small independent ceramic studio in East London, making the most adorable and often animal inspired pieces that melt your heart. From cat decorations with party hats, dog shaped spoon rests, and vessels with the sweetest little faces, you wonโ€™t want to leave any of these handmade cuties behind on market day.

Studio Ers: For me, the change in season and more sunny days bring an opportunity to eat and drink outside whenever possible. I want to ensure my al fresco tablescape is ready with some beautiful pottery from the wonderful Studio Ers. While I can totally understand why Emily is known for her iconic oversized vases and vessels featuring historical shapes with simple outlines (that would be sooo gorg filled with garden flowers) itโ€™s her simple little olive dish thatโ€™s really got my head in a spin. Ideal for aperitivo hour when itโ€™s hot and all you desire is a nice fat juicy salty olive with an aperol spritz. Everything is handmade in small batches in London.

Art, Prints & Paper Goods

NEW! Molly Hill Drawing: I love how artist Molly describes her work as โ€œacknowledging the poetry in the familiarโ€. Those beautiful little moments that can easily be overlooked are what make life really sweet! Like a martini with a friend, the perfect lipstick, a plate of perfectly ripe bananas. Looking at artist Mollyโ€™s work itโ€™s easy to see that sheโ€™s got a soft spot for a still life, and she often makes artwork inspired by the things around us. Objects, buildings, food and drink. Especially for the market Molly will be bringing a collection of giclรฉe prints and original drawings, featuring her signature wibbly-wobbly drawing style thatโ€™s energetic and full of character.

NEW! Fab Gab Cards: For colourful cards and prints that will make you laugh, cry and feel right good inside, look no further than the wonderful works of Fab Gab Things. Yorkshire lass Gabriellaโ€™s artworks act as a reminder to not take life too seriously. After all, โ€œYouโ€™re literally in your twentiesโ€ (No Iโ€™m not Gabriella, but itโ€™s still my favourite print, and Iโ€™m only in my early Thirties!) These are the sort of prints youโ€™ll want to gift your friends, and find reason to have hanging all over your house. With prices starting from ยฃ10 for an A4 you absolutely can.

Chin Chin Prints: Salad Days Market is all about celebrating the very best South London has to offer, which is why we absolutely love to work with our talented SL neighbour Chin Chin Prints. Illustrator and graphic designer Emily spent many years designing for globally renowned brands, before turning her talent into a full time biz. Her iconic prints feature some of our most beloved local locations, and we need them all! Shop the collection including my favourite, the super chic vinyl stickers! And donโ€™t forget to pick up her iconic โ€˜In South we trustโ€™ tote bag for the rest of your market shopping too.

Sally Meier: Whenever we work with talented South London illustrator Sally I canโ€™t resist stocking up on her beautiful cards and paper goods! Everyone I gift them to compliments them so much, because Sally has such a special way of depicting homely interiors and beautiful holidays that leave you dreaming about living in them. With a background in interior and prop styling itโ€™s not hard to understand why.

Nat Draws Things: Feast your eyes on these culinary inspired illustrations and paper goods that look delicious enough to eat. Designed in London by artist Natalia featuring all of the things we love the most like coffee, fancy sardines and pasta! Shop the collection of prints and gorgeous vibrant cards youโ€™ll want to stock up on to send throughout the year, especially as prices start from just ยฃ4.

Stationery

The Stationer: The small business world is such a small world! And funnily enough we recently discovered that we actually went to the same school as The Stationer founder Tessa! After a life-long obsession with stationery, in 2014 Tessa started a blog about it. Assuming she was writing into the ether, she was surprised to find a massive community around the world with the same obsession! The obvious next step was to open her very own online shop selling the world's best stationery, tried and tested by the Queen herself. Tessa has since designed her own collection of paper goods also available to shop alongside her curation of pens, pencils, crayons, highlighters, notebooks, planners, stickers, and everything else you might need to stock your desk perfectly.
