Saturday 27th July: All the brands taking part in our Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom market

We love hosting markets at a varied array of venues and that’s why we’re so excited to be back on home turf at Gipsy Hill Brewery Taproom this summer! Nestled in the heart of our local community in South East London, the Taproom is a really cool space that combines an outdoor yard with a brewery, bar and an event space. It’s not our most glamorous venue but is special in the hearts of locals for so many reasons and we’re proud to be popping up there again.

As well as our indoor market which will feature 30 different small brands from around the UK each day, you'll be able to order pints, eat delicious street food and find a table to sit down with friends and family to enjoy the day, all in one place. The venue has everything you’ll want all in one place; bevvies from Gipsy Hill Brewery, street food from KERB and of course our market! The perfect way to spend your weekend with friends and pups. Here are the amazing brands that will be trading with us on Saturday 27th July. We’ll have a completely different line-up of traders for Sunday 28th July which you can find here.

Fashion

NEW! Emma Warren Design: Emma creates the cutest embroidered sweatshirts, tees, bags and more that feature the loveliest motifs like pups, flowers, positive slogans, relatable phrases and more. These super wearable and comfy pieces are the sort you'll reach for day in, day out, whether you're working at home or off out for brunch with your pals. Exclusively for the market, Emma will be offering personalised live embroidery on the day so you can take home your perfect piece.

Handbags & Accessories

NEW! Shop Nots: Born out of a love for climbing, camping and the great outdoors, NOTS creates unisex accessories that are thoughtfully designed for your lifestyle whether you’re in the city or up in the mountains. All products are lovingly handmade by maker Emilia in Manchester with paracord; using different knotting and macrame techniques she's able to create the coolest bags, coffee slings and phone holders.

Made By Nelly: The TikTok girlies need giant scrunchies, and that’s exactly what Made by Nelly will be delivering! She started making scrunchies one year ago as a way to use some amazing fabric she found in shops across south London, vintage finds she’d won on eBay and some beautiful vintage fabric donations from her mum. Currently one of Depop’s global top 100 international sellers, her gorgeously oversized scrunchies adorn the hair of cool girls the world over (which is why they’re always sold out). We love that they have unique design features you don’t see anywhere else including double layers, mix-and-match fabric combos and the prettiest trims of all time.

Studio Kyodai: The iconic must-have handbag in the small-business world is available to shop at our market! Designer Scarlett uses deadstock leathers and biodegradable fabrics to cut her beautiful bags from, each one crafted by hand in her London studio. This one-woman business does it all herself alongside a full time job, and even uses her scraps to create cardholders from too. Exclusively for the market, Scarlett is launching her brand new designs which we can’t wait to see! They’ll undoubtedly become cult classics just like her other pieces.

Emily Davies: Ultimate cool girl Em is bringing with her her brand new collection of bags and most importantly mini bag charms to the market this month!! I know these are going to be an instant hit! Spending time trawling carboot sales and antique markets, she collects each piece of vintage fabric piece-by-piece, choosing only the most special colour combinations and textures and then turns it into a one-of-a-kind lil bag or miniature bag charm. It’s the little details like the pretty pastel zips that make these way more special than something you’d find on the highstreet.

Talk & Tell: We’re excited to bring you something a little bit different to our next market! Talk and Tell have the cutest tech accessories all designed by lovely founder and small biz owner Chloe. Think patterned but protective phone cases, phone straps and more with a design to suit literally everyone. I love the phone strap I bought from Chloe at our last market as it allows me to work and walk hands-free and also gives me added protection against phone snatchers.

Jewellery

NEW! Olive Ashford: The gorgeous Olive is a jeweller based in Hackney. She creates her squiggly wiggly organic jewels using the age old method of wax carving, often casting the jewellery herself, which allows for exciting experimental outcomes! With lots of fluid, dripping, twisted and knotted forms her sterling silver jewels ooze unbridled creativity and mean each one looks like it's own mini sculptural work of art. Smooth, curvy and tactile I know you'll want to touch and try these on on market day.

NEW! Lombarda Charms: Juliana's handmade jewels are wearable treasures, unlike anything I've seen before. She suspends teeny tiny figures in clear resin; the magical properties of the material make it look like these mini people are floating around your fingers. I love the little bikini-wearers especially; an eternal reminder of summer. Juliana is travelling all the way from Madrid to trade with us for one day and as each one of her creations is one-of-a-kind this is an amazing opportunity to shop and buy one of her pieces in real life in London.

Puzzle Design: Build your own charm necklace! We’re so happy to welcome Puzzle Designs back to our next market after their resounding success at our last event. Popping up with a special Make Your Own Charm Necklace market stall, you’ll be able to pick and choose exactly what cute charms you want on your necklace, that perfectly represent you. Brand owner Christina will then create it in front of your eyes ready for you to take home on the day. Chains start from £17 and charms from £5. Expect queues so we’d suggest coming early.

Shop Gwynfor: Wearable art for maximalist babes, cutie maker Alaw creates the most bright, bold, beautifully kitsch beaded jewellery from her studio in Wales. These rainbow creations are the stuff of my childhood DREAMS and are perfect for layering over your fave summer looks. We’re so proud she’ll be travelling from Wales to trade with us in London for one day only making this a fab chance to see and try on her pieces IRL.

Studio Sael: Back to the market by popular demand! ‘Sael’ from the Old Norse word for joyfulness, really couldn’t describe this gorgeous jewellery any better. Handmade by Kitty for happy moments, from recycled silver, ethically sourced gems and glass beads, these fun but minimal forms are they perfect small delights for your pal, partner or self!

Kalei: The most important thing to tell you about all of the gorgy earrings from Kalei is that they’re incredibly lightweight and won’t hurt your ears. You don’t want to sass up your outfit with a colourful accessory, only to have to take them off half an hour later (when you’ll pop them in your bag and inevitably lose one, it can’t only be me?!) Choose from hundreds of different shapes, patterns, colours and styles all handmade by lovely Sara, and custom designs are available! Exclusively on market day find Zero Waste pieces you’ve never seen before. From just £15.

Indy Cockroft: Indy will be travelling all the way from Cornwall to be with us in London, making it the perfect opportunity to see, touch and try on her pieces IRL. Using 100% recycled metals and ethical gemstones, Indy’s spirited handmade jewels are born out of her desire to bring joy through jewellery to the wearer’s every day life.

Skincare, Beauty & Scent

Palm of Feronia: Bestselling brand Palm Of Feronia returns to our market with their crystal charged, natural skincare for the soul. Formulated and blended by hand in South London by founder Soph, each product is rooted in ancient traditions and herbal lore. Everything is vegan and cruelty free, and these products work! Especially for the market Soph is bringing her brand new summer scent, August Nectar, for you to smell and buy for the first time ever. This unisex fragrance is juicy, evocative and perfectly captures balmy days you don’t want to forget. Divine.

Ceramics

NEW! Pantry Pots: Combining charming floral motifs and dainty frilly shapes, Veronika's charming handmade ceramics conjur up the beauty simplicity of days gone by. It's no surprise then that her pieces are inspired by idyllic childhood memories of her great grandma's pantry which was always full of freshly baked goods, seasonal harvests and traditional crockery. These special pieces are the kind you'll want to get out for dinner parties and hang all over your home; beautiful but practical they tick both boxes.

Yuan Workshop: Perfectly balancing the line between functionally humble but beautiful designed, there is something incredibly poetic and artistic about ceramic artist Polly Liu’s work. Imbuing a breath of life to lifeless ceramics, these pieces are warm and comforting but so, so stylish. Connecting us to simple everyday acts through well thought out design. Shop the collection of handmade table and homeware at our next market inside The Hoxton, every piece special and one-of-a-kind.

Shiny Happy Pottery: After taking a taster class in pottery three years ago, Emily instantly became hooked! And now spends her days in her little shed at the bottom of her garden in Bristol producing the sweetest ceramics we’ve ever seen. Using the traditional pinchpotting technique she cleverly makes items that are gorgeous to look at with a charming organic quality, feel incredible to hold, and can be used every day to bring a little extra joy into your routine. Our faves are her mugs which she labours over with a fine paintbrush to achieve the loveliest patterns and designs.

Crock A Shwt: Artisanal, small batch ceramics, handmade all the way away in Wales. Maker Angharad specialises in the art of Sgraffito to complete her characterful designs, a complex multi-step process that makes each one all the more special and unique. Every piece tells a story and celebrates modern ceramic surface design quite unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Art, Prints & Paper Goods

NEW! Pippa Smith: Pippa Smith is a self-taught London based artist selling original paintings fit for any colourful and quirky home! Taking inspiration from her Spanish heritage, Pippa evokes the warmth and serenity of the Mediterranean with whimsical seafood still-life works that are joyful celebrations of her grandmother's fabulous cooking. Lobsters, oysters, sardines, tomatoes; these would be fit for any kitchen and are so reasonably priced for original pieces of artwork!

Georgina Docherty: Clever printmaker Georgina has mastered the intricate art of lino to produce the most charming art prints! Having lived in Somerset for the past year, her prints reflect all the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of a life lived slowly including scenes from the pantry, from the kitchen and the garden. My faves are of course the bowl of olives and the intricate vase of flowers - it is so hard to get such a level of detail from lino so Georgina must be an absolute master.

Lucy Sherston: Brighton babe Lucy is one of our favourite artists of all time, and actually the talent behind our event poster! Layering together swirling shapes, words, phrases, patterns and people; her artworks have an uncanny ability to look like beautiful digital representations of your favourite moments, as if she dipped her paintbrush straight into your best memories. Lucy is a warm and special person and it’s amazing how her art seems to vibrate and shine with these positive vibes too. Made wholeheartedly, these are the sort of things you want to have surrounding you in your home.

Chin Chin Prints: Salad Days Market is all about celebrating the very best South London has to offer, which is why we absolutely love to work with our talented South London neighbour Chin Chin Prints. Illustrator and graphic designer Emily spent many years designing for globally renowned brands, before turning her talent into a full time biz. Her iconic prints feature some of our most beloved local locations, and we need them all! Shop the collection including my favourite, the super chic vinyl stickers! And don’t forget to pick up her iconic ‘In South we trust’ tote bag for the rest of your market shopping too.

Hollie Startup: Quite simply: drawings with feelings. London-based Hollie’s charming prints and cards perfectly capture the best parts of life and somehow get to the heart of what it means to be a certain type of girlie in this crazy old world we live in. Combining together the cutest phrases that really resonate (and you really want to see on your walls every single day) with the loveliest heartfelt illustrations, they speak to a place deep in my soul. She’ll have brand new South London prints exclusively for the market!

Poppy Illustrates: Poppy Illustrates: Wall art, cards and other paper goods inspired by all things nice! Shop artist Poppy Wright’s bold and colourful artwork at our next market! The ideal way to brighten your home or gift a loved one, with prices from £13 for an A4 piece you can afford to create a whole gallery wall and really spice your interiors up. Featuring retro fonts, your favourite cocktails, inspiring messages and more, there’s something for everyone in this impressive selection, all designed by Poppy.

Homeware & Candles

Rooh London: Rooh London founder Smriti was inspired by her entrepreneur parents to set up her own small business, curating a collection of items handmade by artisans in India. Each one is vibrant, colourful and expertly made, telling the story of years of skill and expertise from the maker. Find block print accessories, home furnishings and more, an homage to some of the things Smriti herself grew up with in New Delhi.

Deli products

Spicy Ryes: Ryan’s infectious energy and the way he started his business is so inspiring, it’s people like him that continue to make us so excited about the small biz world. Growing fruit and veg down at the allotment, he decided to start turning them into his very own sauces and so began a passionate endeavour to make hot sauces that enhance every meal. He now has 14 varieties, all made using totally natural ingredients with no added nasties, ranging from mild to wild depending on the heat level you prefer. They can be used to glaze, marinade, pour or dip; I cannot wait to try them and he’ll have brand new salad dressings available exclusively for the market!

Bakery

Toskas Cakes: Cakes and macarons have never looked so good! One of my absolute favourite things to do on a market day is to buy a slice of freshly baked cake to take home and enjoy with a cup of tea after the day has finished, and baker Flora will have plenty for us to choose from on market day that look as beautiful as they taste. Not only are they made with love right here in London but Flora also makes each and every single element of her cakes and bakes from scratch including all the jams and sauces and you can honestly tell; these look like they’re from the fanciest boulangerie in Paris. The flavours are exquisite and they look absolutely bloody stunning too.

Mr Desserts: We have not stopped thinking about Moyin’s delicious cupcakes ever since we first tried them at our market earlier this year. Oh my god, these cupcakes are incredible! I’m not exaggerating when I say I ate 5 of these last market day. 5!!! The Birthday Cake, the Cookies and Cream… I just need you to tell me you’re going to come to the market and try one. Moyin is fanatical about his ingredients and baking process, only using the best of the best to ensure these cupcakes are 10/10 every single time and we can confirm he absolutely achieves this, and this time he’s bringing triple choc chip brownies too! Bakes usually sell out before the end of market day so come early to avoid disappointment.
