Sunday 3rd November: All the brands taking part in our Hoxton Hotel market in Southwark

After a successful event there last year which saw hundreds of you shopping small in luxurious surroundings, we’re thrilled that we’re going to be hosting another market at The Hoxton Hotel in Southwark this Christmas. We’ll be popping up there on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd November with an ultra curated edit of 60 makers (30 different brands each day) and small businesses all focused around sustainable and vintage gifting, fashion, accessories and lifestyle! From one-of-a-kind dresses to vintage jewellery and handmade handbags and personalised gifts, the market will include everything you need to refresh your wardrobe for the season ahead, plus lots of other gorgeous things you’ll want to gift friends and family for Christmas. And we’re buzzing that lots of the brands will have exclusive new things for the day. We hope to see you there!

NEW! Wainwright Bookbinding with personalised embossing: The wonderful Charlotte is a bookbinder and paper-marbler who uses her expert skills to make the most beautiful stationery we've ever seen. The very nature of marbling means no two papers are ever identical, so each marbled notebook has gorgeous variations and is something special. Every notebook is created and bound by hand, by Charlotte in London too. And especially for our market she's bringing her hot foiling machine, which means personalisation is also available! Add an initial or name to the front of a notebook to make the most thoughtful gift imaginable. Prices start from £30.

Willemien with live portraits: This Paris based artist is crossing the channel especially to join us at our next London market, we couldn't be more proud! Back by popular demand (and quite a few TikTok comments) with her floral motifs and pretty colour palettes, artist Willa Bardawill's world is one we'd love to live in. Her chic hand drawn illustrations and paintings adorn everything from limited edition ceramics to stickers and accessories - and excitingly - live portraits! Simply book an appointment with Willa at our market and she'll paint you there and then in the moment using one of her brand new and exclusive backgrounds. Choose the London Winter scene, the flowers or the restaurant and she'll add your portrait to it! Live portraits are £65 and you can book an appointment now. Book yours here.

The Link and Bond Company with permanent bracelets: It was such a huge hit last time that we're so excited to bring back the permanent bracelets to our market! Business founder Alicia is certified in micro welded jewellery, and will be bringing her specialist equipment to offer you the opportunity to have a permanent bracelet or anklet fitted. With a choice of chains in both silver and gold, some even have pretty design details like little hearts that are so cute. These are measured to fit you exactly, then welded on, becoming claspless to stay on forever (or as long as you'd like) The ultimate adult friendship bracelet.

Little Letters LDN with complimentary personalisation on accessories: Personalised gifts and accessories!? You know we’ll take our name on anything we can get our hands on! Which is why we’re super excited to welcome Lucy to our market, who can stamp your initials onto a range of different products on the day, ready for you to take home. Find things like leather and vegan leather keyrings, notebooks, bookmarks, cardholders and my personal favourite, the clear pencil cases which I’ll be using for makeup in my handbag. And prices start from like £7! If you’re starting your Christmas shopping early, head to Lucy’s stall first as lots of things sold out at the last market she took part in.

Rosetta Studio with personalised cards: Home to individually handpainted cards, you guys have fallen in love with Rose's miniature works of art just like us. On market day Rose can personalise any card in the moment with a name, date or message to make it extra special. Not only that, but Rose has recently expanded in to accessories too. Handmade fashion

Kakzi Studio: Kakazi Studio creates limited edition fashion pieces using a mixture of premium end-of-roll fabrics and handcrafted materials that celebrate different parts of Africa. The results are spellbinding! Growing up between the UK and Uganda, maker Nabisere gained a unique perspective on the complexities of belonging and identity, and after graduating from Central St Martins she created KAKAZI in part to celebrate complex identities from the African and Caribbean diaspora. Made in Tottenham, these spectacular pieces not only shine because of their stunning fabric combinations and striking silhouettes but also because they’re made ethically here in the city.

Sostena Knitwear: Coming all the way from Cornwall to trade with us. Sostena is a small, sustainable knitwear brand run by Izzi and her nana, who taught her how to knit during lockdown. Together they handknit bright, colourful, wearable pieces using scrap yarns and the occasional ball of Nana's hand-spun, hand-dyed wool from the sheep that live next door. How truly special! When taken care of properly, a wool jumper like these will truly last you a lifetime; you won’t find anything this magical on the highstreet.

Studio Remade: Founder Rachel has been a fashion designer for the last decade, relaunching her business with luxury craftsmanship and sustainability at its core. Using only natural fibres, vintage, deadstock or secondhand materials to create each special collection from, I love how Rachel's designs are always so versatile and wearable and have been particularly inspired by her recent work with denim. Shop the collection of pieces at our next market, including a new dress that's dropping exclusively. As seen in The Telegraph.

Sannt: Transforming pre-loved textiles and post-consumer wear in the most clever way. Sannt designer Siofra Murphy is a South East London maker who believes in the value and importance of textiles already in circulation. She makes exclusively from repurposed materials and 100% natural and organic deadstock materials sourced from London to Los Angeles, and expertly restored. Expect classic silhouettes for a sophisticated and contemporary women’s wardrobe with new pieces dropping at the market.

Stellas Studios: Looking for a cute tee or sweatshirt to add to your wardrobe? Stella’s has got just what you want! Katie draws her precious designs by hand, inspired by everything she's obsessed with like pretty flowers, oysters, fruit stickers, pomegranates, bows and angelic cherubs. Designs are printed or embroidered onto sweet 100% cotton baby tees and sweatshirts. Find new designs at the market as well as a bargain bin of samples to have a good old rummage through. We can't wait.

Batch1: Independent and sustainable streetwear. These organic cotton tees and totes are designed and printed with original graphics in London by designer and founder Rodney using only water-based and environmentally friendly inks. Designs feature celebrations of much loved foodie classics, like the humble fish finger sarnie, salt beef bagel, hot sauce and, it wouldn’t be South London without mention of fried chicken too. Shop the collection of tees and sweats in sizes XS-XXL from £25 at our market.

Handbags & Accessories

NEW! Franc: Brand new to the market, I am so excited to be working with this incredible brand. At Franc, menswear designer Frankie crafts bags, key chains, fashion and other accessories using repurposed army surplus uniforms and dead stock fabrics. Each piece is designed to give new life to forgotten materials, offering customers something distinctive and environmentally conscious. Frankie personally sources each piece of fabric and garments from markets, charity shops and surplus shops, which she takes great pride in reworking in to something very exciting and new.

95AP: Artist Ayo took the humble sock, added a pinch of magic and made it the most desirable part of any wardrobe. These gorgeous socks are made in Italy from 100% GOTS certified organic, and individually dyed by hand in London by Ayo. The results? Rich colourful patterns and ombres, no two ever quite the same. Literal works of art you’ll style a whole outfit around and get tons of comments on. Socks have never looked more stylish! From £15 a pair.

Found Thread: All of Mia’s gorgeous scarves are 100% silk, printed with her very own original designs which she drew by hand herself. Each is playful and full of colour, with a focus on nature and the environment around us. From smiling yellow moons, fish swimming between underwater plants and lily pads, to clouds floating in an opulent red sky, the worlds Mia conjours up in her drawings feel far away and magical. A little slice of heaven. They can be styled in so many ways too, as a bandana around the neck or head, or my personal favourite, tied and twilled round the handle of a bag. The designs become ever-changing abstract forms with every different fold or wear. You could even frame them as an unusually original work of art.

Sister Ellen: These one of a kind upcycled accessories are playful, delightful, inspiring and full of happy JOY that will make you want to wear them all season long. Founder Lydia spent many happy hours with her mum and Nana Mud uncovering treasures at charity shops and markets, and it's this lifelong passion which inspires each of her designs today, which are all handmade by her in England. Gingham, bows, oversized collars and more, we know you're going to fall in love with these pieces just like we have.

Jewellery

NEW! Pinnole: Salad Days is all about celebrating traditonal skills in contemporary ways, which is why we are thrilled to welcome enamel jewellery from Pinnole to our next line up. Enamel is something we rarely ever see today, as it's such a skilled and time consuming process which involves mixing and painting each piece by hand! Discover the collection from Pinnole which includes the most adorable enamel charms that are designed to be mixed and matched, as well as beaded bracelets, necklaces and more. These are so fun, playful and happy! The monogram charms are my favourite. Designed in Sicily.

NEW! Lara Loves Jewellery: This super cute beaded jewellery is made by hand in London using semi-precious beads and pearls. Lovely founder Lara is a stylist and visual merchandiser by day, it was actually through her work in Selfridges that we first met! So we're thrilled to be able to welcome her to Salad Days for the very first time. Pieces are designed to be stacked and layered to create a look that's special and personal to you - a riot of playful colour and beautiful design (and most importantly, never any plastic)

Sacrosanct: Born from a love of the hunt, jewellery buyer Yasmin launched Sacrosant to make vintage jewellery more accessible. Today she sells a highly curated edit of vintage and preloved pieces alongside a small number of special handmade jewels too and we love this mix of old and new which makes her collection feel super special, like stumbling on a box of treasure. In a world where everything's so throwaway, recycling and reusing beautiful timeless pieces has (in our eyes anyway!) become the new luxury as they are truly one-of-a-kind.

Kitschen: This is handmade jewellery inspired by food, but unlike anything you’ve seen before. Featuring fried egg studs, the mushroom chain necklace, baked beans and bacon rings, I absolutely adore how maker and designer Kitty has taken an iconic English breakfast and made pieces that are so gorgeous inspired by it. Whilst being fun and playful, most importantly these designs are actually wearable.

Studio Sael: ‘Sael’ from the Old Norse word for joyfulness, really couldn’t describe this gorgeous jewellery any better. Handmade by Kitty for happy moments, from recycled silver, ethically sourced gems and glass beads, these fun but minimal forms are they perfect small delights for your pal, partner or self. In a crowded market like jewellery we've really never seen anything like these pieces before which is always so exciting, if like us you love something a bit special and unique.

Studio Pepita: Like a magpie with shiny special things, show me a table of amazing Studio Pepita accessories and I absolutely WILL touch, pick up and try on as many of them as I can. These luxury scented homewares promote calm and relaxation in the home, even helping to purify the air of pollutants and other smells. Shop the colourful collection at our next market.
